What to order at a Thai restaurant

Tracking tip: Search for a specific restaurant’s menu item first; if it’s not in the database, track a similar dish from a different restaurant.

Points-saving hacks

  1. When choosing your entree’s protein, go with ZeroPoint® fresh tofu, shrimp, or chicken (look for skinless breast, thigh or drumsticks).

  2. In the mood for fish? Ask which dishes are broiled or steamed instead of fried. And go for broth- or citrus-based sauces instead of sweet.

  3. Pump up a 1-cup serving of any noodle or rice dish by mixing in extra bean sprouts (bonus: they add a nice crunch) or steamed veggies.

  4. If you want curry, go red; panang has more sugar and almost double the Points.

  5. Spicy Thai salads are satisfying and low in Points. Don’t love the heat? Ask for it mild—and for extra of the fresh veg that comes with it.
