Tracking tip: Search for a specific restaurant’s menu item first; if it’s not in the database, track a similar dish from a different restaurant.

Points-saving hacks

  1. If you want naan, have naan—but to save 6 Points, try roti or chapati instead.

  2. To save Points for your main, order a cup of lentil soup to start. “Pakora,” “samosa” and “bhaji” small bites are usually deep-fried.

  3. Words like “malai” in malai prawns, “makhani” a.k.a. butter chicken, and "tikka masala" all signal creamy, higher-Points sauces.

  4. Be strategic about chutney: Green is 0 Points per tbsp, tomato and tamarind are 1 Points value each.

  5. Too much spice? Tame the heat with yogurt-based raita instead of naan or rice—½ cup is just 3 Points.
